Well what a great weekend, football wise anyway, both teams have had awesome wins. What was with the weather, Saturday I think was about 24, bit of wind, but out of the wind it was just damned warm
Sunday, what the! 29deg, that of course caused a great dilemma on what to wear as we had a birthday lunch to attend at the Brookleigh Estate Winery in the Swan Valley, this is also an equestrian centre, wedding venue, restaurant, and has accommodation to boot, for Matt’s mum Jenny’s birthday. I am now so full after a three course meal I really must stop doing that. (eating so much)
You have got to love the door
Sam and I had a glass of champagne to start with and then shared an entree of squid with a fine chilli sauce, after that I had a main, of Duck breast with radishes, beetroot and a few chippies, there was ample duck breast plus a round ball of shredded duck that had been rolled in something yummy. Sam had gnocchi, Jim had lamb shank, Jenny, Shaun, Michael and Matt had steak, it was a fair old size I can tell you. Then I had the black rice in coconut cream with two little pieces of fried banana and palm sugar syrup dip, the others had sticky date pudding and chocolate cake. I won!!!
Matt’s family are very nice we are lucky xx Matt’s not bad either
I don’t know why, but Friday I came home and hibernated for the night by myself with a glass of wine, strawberries and cheese. Yum, clearly I needed some time alone, nobody fed me though hence the strawberries and cheese, it was all I could scrape up without having to prepare something
Saturday, I was in a cleaning mood, (I reckon that was the guilt talking after ignoring everyone the night before) Spring is in the air, it is wonderful to open the windows and you can just smell summer
We don’t believe we can grow flowers but look
Our front entrance, more later
Then there was the football, what a game, yes only because we won, go the Dockers.
Then the Eagles won, by a huge margin, what a weekend
I’m exhausted, work tomorrow
