While dad was here we like to show off our favourite port Fremantle
Before the wedding we spent an evening in the Norfolk, a regular hang out especially with friends to watch the football. The hotel I think caters for all ages so you don’t feel out of place.
I just wish our transport was easier to get around and a more direct route to Fremantle. You either take the Leach Highway or South Street.
For us to go to Freo from Shelly we have to catch two busses. Go figure, so we generally drive. Thankfully you can still get parking, thankfully that Fremantle still has a great atmosphere, hopefully it will follow the city and cater for us foodies and drinkers with more small bars
Our other favourite part of Fremantle is visiting Cicerello’s for Fish & Chips, though I always have salt and pepper squid. YUM!!!! With plenty of sauce. It’s nice to sit by the sea and watch the world go by, the lovely people bringing their boats in and out of the bay to collect their chips. Show offs’s!!
No I am not jealous as I get hideously sea sick, unless it’s on the river
Any way another great thing about Freo is it’s history, my favourite part is the statues and the salute to lost sailors
Looking out onto the harbour
In memory of Bon Scott
Those pillars in the background have the names of the lost sailors
Love the fishing boats in the background
Where you can see those sun umbrella’s is where we eat
Alas this is the ferris wheel that NOBODY will take me on, where is their sense of adventure
Found it, thought I had lost this post. Ho hum, from the uninitiated!!!
Brittany’s birthday going to celebrate
