Tis the season for socialising, eating, mixing, meeting and greeting new people: Christmas functions, Print Hall, family and friends.
So far we have been to:
A function in a marquee on the River opposite the trots in the city (Perth), Also on that night in the same vicinity was the Chanel 7, Christmas parade, the trots and this function. (Arabian Nights themed). I was a bit scared and thought the traffic would have been nightmarish, thankfully we have two daughters who act as taxis for us at this busy time of the year xx
Inside the Marquee
Dance floor, think I would have been smart enough to turn around and take a photo of the River, since we were right on the river. Right, NO!!
I got chatting to so many interesting people, an editor, school teachers, many people from different nationalities, in particular a lovely couple from Malaysia who have come here at a great cost to themselves and their family, to provide a better future for their children. Something we all want right?
Their three children were not allowed to attend a University in their homeland. Two have now completed Uni, one is working in the field of engineering, one is a pharmacist and one is still at Uni studying also, engineering. They have had to leave the rest of their family behind, so the children could have a future. The couple have built up a strong network through their church, such gracious loving respectful people. We need more of them, please.
The following Saturday we were lucky enough to attend a function at the The West Australian Museum for a masquerade party.
The dance floor, we were to tuckered out from the night before to have a bash.
By this stage masks were mostly on peoples head.
Here is why we were so tired as we had a family booking at Print Hall for dinner with the girls and their partners. Brittany organised the booking, if you don’t book you have to queue and being the Friday before Christmas you can imagine what the city was like.
A small display of their wines, taken from where we were seated.
The best food, the most outstanding service. Congratulations Print Hall, you made our night memorable.
Surrounding that fabulous new area of restaurants and bars situated below the new BHP building in Perth CBD, which is where Brittany works. There were lights everywhere.
On the left as you walk towards Print Hall, the whole area and its surroundings were lit up.
So clearly I didn’t want to be outdone and along come some more inspiration for lights, which I will show you later.
We were not done yet, a lunch followed at the Broken Hill Hotel in Vic Park, with friends.
The Broken Hill Hotel, Vic Park, great service, great food, great company, what more could a girl want for a Sunday lunch.
From the left; Leanette, Debbie, Michael, Mark, Daryl, Jim, Jenny and me
The lights in the entrance, quite keen on them.
There was also a lunch last week with the crew from work at Bellini in Osborne Park
Still one more event, an evening with friends to celebrate Christmas eve, nibbles, dancing and great company.
Feeling a tad fat now!!!!!
Friends for Christmas eve catch up, I have tried and tried to send a photo of the Christmas Eve party, failed, damn it was a good one to
Feeling very spoilt
