Our feral cat Molly sometimes known as mole pants because she doesn’t know how to play nicely, many of us have the scratches and scars to prove it. She also lets you know in no uncertain terms when she wants a pat, but picking up and cuddling is generally a no no.
Well our Molly has never left the back yard, we haven’t figured out if she doesn’t know how to jump or climb? She does have one of those very flabby belly’s that swings as she walks, she does appear to look like her head is too small for her body. Her little legs also look like they have their work cut out for them to keep her upright, let’s assume she doesn’t have body issues. So we are guessing Molly has balance issues.

On the other hand Effie is the great wanderer. Likes to travel, or has found a really good hidy spot that we haven’t found. Effie scales the wall with great abandon, leaving her sister behind; her sister who looks up longingly at Effie’s disappearing behind. Effie then looks down from above as if to say ‘well are you coming or not’.
Effie scales the rooftops dodging the crows who like to swoop the cats to show who’s boss, that makes me laugh as I to am petrified of the crows, when walking I duck when I hear them.

So back to Molly’s disability, Brittany has tried to give her a taste of freedom by buying a harness and taking her for a walk out the front. You can guess how that went, not very well at all. Brittany is stopped more by people asking her what she is doing and giving Molly a pat than Molly actually taking any steps. (not at all productive)
Times however may be changing as Michael has now added some very strong trellis for the Jasmine to climb on, much to Molly’s interest. I think she may see this as an escape route, she has:
|very sturdy trellis that is bolted to the wall|
|Looking forward to this covering the wall|
- Looked at the trellis up close, gave it a good sniff and going over
- Placed her paw’s on the trellis (testing testing)
- Came inside, sat down, looked at it through the window
- Gone outside, sat down, examined the trellis again
PS: Xmas dec’s to follow, I am a sucker for the tree and now I have a banister to play with!!!!!
