The boy that stole my daughters heart crossed over to our side of the river, took her away. Swept her off her feet, and is now taking her over the other side of the river to live, to start their journey together, in their soon to be new home. Currently he is not my favourite potential son in-law, but I’ll get over it.
They have now been together for four years, I still remember the first day we met him, I also remember the first day we heard him, little hard to forget, more on that at a later date. Yes drunk and disorderly.
Now he is taking her back across to his side of the river (North), so they will be closer to his family. You know that great divide in Perth between North and South. If you live North you do not venture South, and vice versa, they have the Mitchell Freeway (North) , we have the Kwinana Freeway (South). Why they just don’t have the one name ? it’s beyond me, you are on either the North, or the South side, one freeway, I kinda think that makes sense to me, unless they put a toll on the freeway? That could change things, I suggest with tongue in cheek that we call it the Kwinana Freeway, the end.
There are only the four of us in our family and he the boy has many, many relatives, Who all live North of the River, so I can understand the pull, his family have what we cannot offer, lots of noise. I know I am being a sooky la la!!!
They have tried to find a home in-between the families but to no avail, at least not something they can afford, of course they could come South!! I know shut up now.
