I loved to read the Ros Thomas article in Saturdays West, regarding Canadian scientists who state that PMS doesn’t exist.
I am sure there are many who would disagree with that quote as does Ros. Quite bizarre, or are they aiming for a robust debate. I, to this day, get the monthly hormonal changes, the migraines, it also takes me a few days to realise what’s going on and then it dawns on me, oh it’s that time again.
Ros’s husband is suggesting he invents a Grief O Meter, then he will know what time of the month to escape. I don’t get why husbands and partners don’t get it, but to be fair if I can’t realise what is going on then why should they. After 30 years of marriage my husband still doesn’t get it, so I guess he never will.
It has been suggested that we should stop blaming the cycle and pinpoint the true causes of anger.
THAT WOULD BE HUSBANDS. ‘that quote from Ros made me laugh’
So if according to these Canadian Scientists, that PMS doesn’t exist then according to the very funny Ros:
- We don’t need to contain ourselves to grumpiness in just one week of the month
- We can spread it around through out the entire month
I concur with Ros when she says ‘bring me my broom stick’
