So a round up of the holiday as I can’t get the brain into action and need to put this to bed so to speak, now I don’t have to tell you that after, 4 flights, 3 different beds, in 12 days left me Exhausted, Hormonal, and I Cried for a full day, that being the last day of our holiday after a kerfuffle with Sam, which was bound to happen as we are so alike and after having to put up with me for 12 days, she’d had enough.
So many pluses for the 12-day holiday, then a few minuses, that’s the way the world goes round doesn’t it? All our flights were late flights, so we either arrived very early in each State or landed very late into Auckland. Then coming home we arrived at midnight and then queued in the taxi rank. That was just plain dumb, but we wanted to be able to drink in every last drop of our trip.
Sydney was our first stop, a full three days, drinking, dining and shopping, in fact just this week my rug arrived from Sydney’s Pottery Barn, I had to wait for the rugs to be in stock and then have it delivered, very exciting and was just what I wanted, $49 for delivery, which was pretty fair, since I live in Perth which is a 4 hour plane flight away.
See isn’t it gorgeous, and it cost around $800. An equivalent here would be over $1500.00?

We especially went to Sydney so we could visit, Pottery Barn, and Williams-Sonoma, Darling Harbour (disappointed) Sydney Zoo, Bondi, and various Exhibitions. So one order down at Pottery Barn and hopefully more to follow, my next order will be from Williams-Sonoma; they had the best Balsamic Vinegar I have ever tasted.
On to the airport after we had rearranged luggage due to someone’s excess baggage, and NO it wasn’t me, however I then ended up with the luggage that weighted the most, that’s because I am generous and stupid.
This was such a rushed trip to Auckland, which is my biggest regret, as I didn’t get to spend any time with family or friends, (and I mean any time), as time was limited. We managed to fit a lot in, probably being one of the last trips with the four of us together so we wanted to make it count, as you can see below if you want to revisit the posts. Still I went away very disappointed and now have all the more reason to go back sooner rather than later.
Then to Melbourne, much fun as always, you don’t have to ask me twice to meet you in Melbourne. What a great trip this was, the singing brothers, a show Legally Blonde, shopping, dining, a football game, Hollywood Costume exhibition. I would run back tomorrow if I could.
