On our way to the #PBEVENT and the #QT which by the way the QT is pretty cool, they looked after us well, and the food was fabulous.
Now I have been remiss as there was a wee bit more to the story of Sleeping Beauty, who I talked about in the last post, a few wanted more.
The rest of the Perth crew were understandably a bit put out when I failed to gather more information, think they were relying on me to be nosier than I actually was (am).
Who believes that?
I must admit to being a good gather of information (listener), but he was so nice so maybe I was in awe.
Lets revisit, tall, slim, handsome, chiseled jaw, deep brown eyes, whisper of a beard, black shirt, jeans, brown worn in leather jacket, a smile that lit up his face, a slight crinkle at the eyes, AND HE DIDN’T HOG OR INVADE OTHES SPACE, as he sat between Jen and I.
Are you still with me?
Well he was getting of this flight in Sydney along with us, taking a taxi ride across the Sydney Harbour Bridge to a lawyer’s office.
Signing some paperwork and then back in another taxi directly to the airport, do not pass go, then back on the next plane out of there and back to Perth.
Any guesses what was going on?
Yes before you ask he does have a partner in Perth, one of our team thought maybe he was signing divorce papers, as they were papers you had to sign in front of the lawyer.
I myself think he’s a musician and he was signing a recording contract?
So here’s the other sorry story of our journey to the fabulous QT from the airport for the Problogger training event. The poor bloody bus driver was doing a good deed and taking the crazy lady with the pink hair to a private address, as far as we were concerned on our time. Don’t mess with a busload of bloggers who have social media at their fingertips!
- We went up a street
- Up a dead end street
- Round a few roundabouts
- Through a few lights
- Back up the dead end street
Oh wait; she thinks that house we passed before might actually be the one!
There was a fair bit of huffing and puffing in the back let me tell you
What should have taken an hour to get from the airport to the QT took an hour and a half or maybe closer to two hours.
We missed a bit due to the driver’s kind heart, and the tardiness of the stupid crazy lady with the pink hair (sorry), (care factor zero, catch a taxi next time).
Our Amanda couldn’t meet us for pre drinks (other date with the Travel Bloggers) and explain to one and all how she didn’tapparently vandalize a bus, was she upset at the driver and this was her revenge.
Lets not let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Truth be told, she wrenched the belt and it came away in her hand?
We missed our catch up date with Kylah, as we didn’t arrive in time. Kylah is one truly delightful young woman. Thankfully we did get to spend time over the next two days with her.
We scrambled to our rooms showered unpacked, took a deep breath and went for dinner before the networking began.
|Never got to this station there was so much other goodness
to be had
We started our day at 3.45am, two plane trips, one bus trip, and now it was very very late.
I crawled into bed between the freshly laundered sheets; hazy, after taking a Mersondol, my drug of choice, roll on scary day tomorrow. I will actually have to speak to people who probably know more than me (out of my comfort zone).
