I don’t know if you have or have not noticed but our men are falling by the wayside
Over the last couple of weeks my husband has been feeling pretty poorly, sympathy from me is marginal but I am definitely there in spirit.
Only because he refuses to do anything about it, I come home today and it has now been two weeks of him feeling unwell, so I reckon he should go to the doctors.
He won’t go to a doctor, as apparently it’s not life threatening, good observation said I
Our conversation went something like this:
‘Not riding your bike today then are you still feeling poorly’?
‘Yes, as you suggested not riding the bike till I’m better’.
‘Good because I don’t want you having an accident’.
Now don’t be alarmed he only rides to the train station and back to get 15 minutes exercise each way, so not too much of a stretch. Not that I would ride a bike if I felt poorly well in fact not at all as I don’t even own one.
‘So how many people do you know now that has been struck by this virus’?
He continued to name a fair few he knew and some of those I know to.
I then said, ‘Michael do you know of any woman who have this virus’?
He looks at me with a puzzled frown.
‘No I can’t say I do’.
‘Hmmm’, say I, then in union we both say, ‘MAN FLU’
Very puzzling, that the virus is only affecting the men that we know of and not the women.
I then continued to say, ‘Well lets add up your symptoms then’.
- Stomach cramps
- Not hungry
- Puffed when taking stairs
- No energy
- Falling asleep at your desk before lunch
‘Michael we woman feel like that every day’
Now if women stopped because they felt this way:
- The economy would come to a standstill
- Productivity would be zero
- The world would stop revolving and evolving
- We woman would stop patting ourselves on the back for a job well done
- You’d all starve and be dirty, starve because dinner isn’t cooked and dirty as no washing is done
Yes I am generalising!
But in all seriousness I do hope the men get better and that we women aren’t inflicted with this dreadful virus, which is making our men incapable of walking up stairs without running out of puff.
I am pondering why men are inflicted and women not, must be in the genes
I so hope I don’t get the virus, though come backs a bitch. I won’t be a happy camper if I do though I am wondering that if I do get the virus how will I know as I don’t think I’ll feel any different than I do now.
